There Is Always a Way

There’s a simple but powerful phrase that has been my beacon of light and illuminated my path through some of the toughest and darkest challenges in my life: "There is Always a Way."

Let’s be honest, we’ve all felt overwhelmed, defeated, and uncertain of our next step when faced with obstacles and challenges that seem insurmountable. Feeling lost, uninspired, scared and like we've hit a dead end, or that there is no way to move forward is not a good place to be. However, when you are in the middle of it, it’s tough to look beyond and see the sun behind the clouds.

I encourage you to begin to shift your thoughts and mindset away from your troubles. You’ve already thought about every obstacle, played out every negative outcome, why not roll the dice and allow yourself to think “there is always a way”, even if you are not sure how exactly it will happen.

Start with either baby steps, or giant leaps forward, this is your journey.

  1. Believe in yourself: Believe in yourself and your God given abilitiesand talents. These are your gifts and unique to you. You are capable of finding a way forward, and you have the strength and resilience to overcome any obstacle.

  2. Embrace a growth mindset: Challenges are opportunities disguised as roadblocks, adopt a growth mindset to help you see why you are stuck in this place, what do you have to learn, what is valuable that you can take with you and move past this?

  3. Take action: Once you've embraced the possibility that there is always a way forward, break down the challenge into manageable steps, and begin taking action towards finding a solution.

  4. Seek support: Remember you are not alone. Seek support from the people in your life- friends, family, or colleagues who can offer advice and guidance. Consider a coach or mentor who can provide valuable insights and support.

  5. Keep a positive attitude: The value of a positive attitude throughout the process will be the most valuable tool in your kit. It will help you stay motivated and focused on finding a way forward.

So, look up at the trees and the blue sky, take a deep breath, believe in yourself, and remember: There is always a way.
